HotRox are a four-piece rock & pop covers band built for one thing: packed dancefloors. Big singalongs, throwback bangers, modern party anthems - delivered with high energy and a crowd-first mindset.
You’ll find us at Festivals across the Midlands, some of the best bars and venues across the Midlands, and a steady run of weddings, parties and private events where people want the night to feel properly special.
The band is: Mel (Vocals), Gui (Guitar), Matt (Bass), Tom (Drums). A tight, energetic live setup that works just as well in a buzzing pub as it does under a marquee or in a wedding venue.
Based out of South Shropshire, we’re regularly gigging throughout the region - Shrewsbury to Hereford, Worcester to Bridgnorth, and everywhere in between. Happy to travel further for the right party.

Yes. Our lead vocalist, Mel, is the singer you see in all of our official videos. We don’t use stand-ins or rotating session vocalists, so the voice, energy and stage presence you hear online is exactly what you’ll get at your event. If you book HotRox, you book the band you see -every time.
HotRox perform as a fixed four-piece lineup: Mel (vocals), Gui (guitar), Matt (bass) and Tom (drums). We don’t offer band rotations, but we can adapt set length and structure (up to 1–3 hours, split to suit your event). Optional DJ music, first dance on request, and package discounts apply if venue PA or lighting is supplied.
We’re a laid-back, easygoing band and will work with most timing changes without issue. If set times move, shorten, or swap order, we’ll adapt and keep the flow strong. Only major changes to playing time may need a rethink, but wherever possible we’ll work around your event plan and keep the show on track.
Yes. We can play a playlist you choose, or you can leave it to us - we’ll put something together that suits the vibe and keeps the momentum going. We can run music before we start, and between sets while we reset. It’s part of the 2–3 hour packages, or optional on the 1 hour set if you want it added.
Allow for up to 1–1.5 hours for setup and sound check if we’re bringing full PA and lights, but it’s usually done a lot quicker. Smaller spaces and pub stages can be 30–45 minutes. We’ll always crack on as soon as we arrive and keep you in the loop so you know we’re on track and ready when you need us.
You can absolutely choose songs from our list. Some of our set is built around medleys, so chopping and changing those sections can be tricky, but if it’s on the list we’ll play it. If we’ve got time before the gig and it works for the event, we can usually learn a new one too - just ask early and we’ll always try.
Our quotes include what’s needed for the package you book. If we’re providing PA and lights, it’s built into the price. If your venue already has PA or lighting we can use, or you’d rather we plug into theirs, we’ll knock the quote down to match. No paying for gear you don’t need - simple as that.
Yes - if it’s not already in our set, we can usually learn one for you as long as we’ve got enough notice. We’ll always be honest if it’s a stretch, but we’ll do our best to make it work. The earlier you ask, the better the chance we nail it and make it a proper moment on the night.
